LiveLab & DeviceLab

Building applications requires continuous visual and runtime feedback. Caide’s Right Dock houses a suite of inspection tools designed to eliminate the friction of switching between editor, terminal, and browser.

DeviceLab Simulator Frames

DeviceLab embeds an interactive iframe wrapped in pixel-accurate hardware frames:

  • iPhone 16 Pro: 393 × 852 viewport with Dynamic Island silhouette.
  • Google Pixel 9: 412 × 924 Android viewport.
  • iPad Air / Tablet: 820 × 1180 viewport for testing responsive split-views.
  • Desktop / Responsive: Unconstrained viewport with drag-to-resize handles.

Controls & Actions

  • Rotate Orientation: Toggle between portrait and landscape modes.
  • Zoom / Scaling: Fit to window, 50%, 75%, 100%, or 125% zoom factors.
  • Hard Refresh: Clear cache and reload the current preview state.
  • Inspect Mode: Click any element in the preview to jump directly to its JSX/Dart component declaration in the code editor.

Live Console Log Stream

The bottom dock features an integrated console that captures:

  • stdout and stderr streams from your active Vite, Next.js, or Metro dev servers.
  • Client-side browser logs (console.log, console.warn, console.error) bridged through the preview proxy.
  • Unhandled Promise rejections and network fetch failures.

Problems & Diagnostics Tab

Before you commit or deploy, Caide’s diagnostics engine monitors:

  • TypeScript compilation errors (tsc --noEmit).
  • ESLint and Biome warnings.
  • Missing dependencies or uninstalled package imports.
  • Unclosed JSX tags or broken React hook dependencies.
