Blank / Custom Stack

The Blank framework target provides an open, unconstrained workspace directory for projects that do not fit into standard mobile or web frontend templates.

When to Use Blank

  • Backend API Services: Express, Fastify, Hono, NestJS, Go (Gin/Fiber), Python (FastAPI/Flask), or Rust (Axum).
  • CLI Tools & Utilities: Command-line developer utilities, script automations, or terminal apps.
  • Database & Data Pipelines: Standalone SQL migrations, ETL scripts, or web scrapers.
  • Polyglot Monorepos: Multi-package workspaces combining microservices in different languages.

Agent Behavior in Blank Projects

In Blank projects, Caide does not enforce predefined frontend preview stages or bundle configurations:

  • Autonomous Architecture Proposal: The agent examines your prompt and proposes an optimal directory structure, package configuration, and runtime environment.
  • Flexible Dev Server Management: You can instruct the agent to run any local process (e.g. bun run start, go run main.go, python -m uvicorn main:app) and route output to the integrated terminal and console.
