Product Overview

Caide is a native developer studio that converges autonomous AI agent capabilities with strict software engineering discipline.

Unlike raw chat interfaces that guess code changes in a vacuum, Caide executes inside a sandboxed local environment equipped with dedicated dev-servers, real-time filesystem watchers, language server protocol (LSP) diagnostics, and interactive device simulators.

The Three Core Pillars

1. The Autonomous Turn Loop

Every user prompt initiates a structured "turn" inside Caide:

  • Context Assembly: Relevant files, symbols, Git status, and active project rules are assembled into the model context.
  • Architecture Alignment: For complex multi-file features, Caide drafts an App Blueprint detailing screens, state models, and route structures before touching files.
  • Execution & Consent Gates: The agent invokes tools (file edits, shell commands, database migrations). High-risk operations pause execution until you grant explicit consent.
  • Live Verification: As files are modified, background watchers trigger hot-reloading in the Right Dock, and diagnostics verify that no syntax or type errors were introduced.

2. Immutable Frameworks

When initializing a project, you choose one of four immutable framework targets:

  • React Native (Expo): Spins up the Metro bundler on port 8081, exposes an interactive iPhone/Android frame in DeviceLab, and generates a mobile QR code for testing on physical devices.
  • Flutter: Integrates Dart analysis, flutter run hot reloading, and native mobile build pipelines.
  • Website (Next.js / Vite): Boots live SSR/SPA preview servers with proxy tunnels and 1-click Vercel deployments.
  • Blank: An unconstrained environment ideal for Node.js, Bun, Python, Go microservices, or custom architectures.

Locking the framework prevents cross-stack hallucinations and allows Caide's prompts and verifiers to operate with specialized precision.

3. Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK) & Local First

Caide is free BYOK with one optional paid surface:

  • Seven providers only: OpenRouter, OpenCode Console, Caide Agent, ChatGPT/Codex, Claude Code, DeepSeek, and Google.
  • Free BYOK forever: your keys stream directly to the provider; Caide takes no token markup and imposes no usage quota on BYOK.
  • Optional Caide Agent: $2/month after a 7-day / 500-credit trial, powered by OpenCode Console. No other local feature is gated.
  • Encrypted Local Storage: API keys are encrypted at rest; the desktop seals the encryption key in the OS keychain (Keychain on macOS, Secret Service on Linux, DPAPI on Windows).
  • Local State: Thread histories, versions, and goal trees are saved locally, with a SQLite projection for fast reads.
